Saw the steamer basket way back in the 80s as a kid and had no idea what it was. Just bought my first one today at age 45. Do fitness and eat healthy. 💪

It's okay to need a tutorial for something that others might take for granted, like performing basic emergency car/home repairs or using certain cooking paraphernalia. The important thing is that if you find yourself lacking in specific practical knowledge, there are others who understand and will offer guidance without judgement. 💙

Noooo! Do Not. Put salt in the water before it's boiling. It will pit your pot or pan and destroy it. Wait till it boils to Dissolve the salt

If it finishes cooking the rice before you're ready to serve it, I recommend tossing in a small amount of water (especially if you're cooking the least amount possible) to prevent the rice at the bottom from drying out. The vegetable steamer feels a bit like a hit or miss with cooking times, and sometimes the color from the vegetables leaks down onto the rice. So, I prefer to steam my vegetables separately. Overall, great item for the cost. I've been using mine for over 8 months and am VERY happy with it!

ngl. im a college kid and a steamer came in my cookware set. NOBODY in my family could figure out what it was. We thought it was to wash fruit

So I've had this flower steamer "thing" in my collection of lids and really didn't know what is was for about 4 years. One day I cleaned out my lid drawer and found it and have been using it to make tea. I put my tea bags in it then fold it up in a small pot. Honestly that's what I thought it was made to do, hold the tea bags at the bottom of the pan so it could allow the water to pass through them. Now I know the real reason for it Thanks for your video
